VANDORENDRA, MARLITH DEMON
Mariliths, sometimes called “snake demons,” are cruel beings reveling in the chaos and carnage of the battlefield and yetare brilliant tacticians. Those that are typically encountered arrive inresponse to the dark rituals or summonings of twisted demonologists and power-mad priests. Few summoners possess the mental agility and fortitude tosummon a marilith; fewer still manage to bind these creatures. From the waist up, they typically appear as a muscular woman with six arms; from the waist down, they are twenty feet of crushing snake-like coils. Clad in elaborate armor and wielding wicked blades, a marilith is more than a match for any mortal legion.
Two recuperating patrons in the Green Griffin were overheard discussing their plans to return to the Caverns of Doom. Their party, which was once eight, is now two, and they are eager to enlist a few skilled heroes to help them in destroying the demon Vandorendra, the marilith that butchered their former members. Interested heroes should seek out the paladin Huroth Brightflame.
